wings

how can i make wings flap like on a bird without keyframing them?

Thanks Chris

well... if you didn't want to keyframe them, I suppose the only other way to make them move is through expressions. Think you can do that? I really can't say much more than that right now without knowing exactly how you have these wings set up...

Their is a free tut out their for animaing a birds wign and a bee, try google.
If you just want the propeler to riate then just right click on "rotateX" (or whatever axis) and click on expressions and enter "rotateY=time/4;" or whatever value to the speed you want.

Keyframing wings should be simple.

First key in the KEY frames, then the breakdowns and inbetweens. Search for a video of the bird your animating and view it frame by frame, or look for images that show this breakdown. (There is a book that has frame by frame images of various actions inc. wings, but i cant think of it atm)

Set Driven Keys (SDK) should also work, and i belive theres a free tutorial SM on this which should give you some light.
