help! question...

I am starting to texture some models I made and it seems like I cant add a File texture to any of the models that are duplicates! Why would this be so? Help!!

Are your duplicates copies or instances? Is there any way you could post more specific information? I'd be happy to help if I can...!

Thanks for your response.....

Well, there are a couple objects that texturing a file doesnt work on and at first I thought it was because they were duplicates but it they are also all beveled, so it may be that. When I try to add a texture they turn semi-translucent with a sort of white grid.
Whats the difference btw an instant and copy?

do they have valid uvs?

Im very new to texturing so I am having alot of problems with it. I managed to do a UV texture on an object and it appeared to work but when I try to rotate the object the texture doesnt rotate with it and so doesnt cover the object. Why is this?
thanks for your help and I know I sound like a complete dope!

BEVELING PROBLEM!

Ok the problem is definately the BEVELING. I tested it by texturing a simple polygon cube with a texture file and it worked but then when I beveled the cube the texture didnt work.

Whats going on??

well ,try to apply (targa) as a texture file,or use a( psd file), wich means the texture must be in photoshop file format ,and not converted. cleanup your polygon as well, and use

the( UV texture editor),even you may try to separet your
object.send in exampel.
welcome
