Maya command placement

Hi,
I'm curious, why is Harden Edges under the Normals category? I'm sure there is a good reason for it but it seems like it would be fine under Mesh or Edit Mesh. For that matter I haven't even figured out why Mesh and Edit Mesh are separate but I only just started modeling.

Thanks,
Ron

I was going to just say "Good question! Next?" but yeah. I see your point... The thing is that softening or hardening edges don't "change" your mesh really. It's just affecting how the mesh is shaded by altering the normal direction of adjacent mesh components. IMHO Nothing to worry about to be honest...
