Maya on Linux
Does anybody here run Maya on a Linux distro like ubuntu, fedora, OpenSUSE etc? I'm running 2009 sp1a on 10.6 and have had no end of graphics issues with my setup. Any issues?
I used to run Maya 6.5 on a SGI Octane2 so can tinker under the old *NIX hood if need be. Thinking of dual-booting, as I also use Photoshop. Will be running on the rig in my sig... Cheers! |
i use maya on linux at work. I think if i bought a pc, i would use linux.
I would stick to osx if you are on a mac tho. |
Last time I checked, it worked just fine with Fedora. It also works on Suse I hear.
But this is why whenever a new OS comes out, you research the problems, and should wait until fixes are found. There are always these kinds of issues. |
We also use Linux at work,
no idea what type though as am Linux noobie, I am growing to like it though. Chris |
