Sorry, the file was a little to big

Looking good. Around the 6 second mark theres some tearing along a seam under the eyes (at least I think thats what it is). As well, the whole animation seems a little slow. Perhaps speeding it up to double speed, move the key frames closer, to be moe fluid and believable.

Youre right icarus_uk, it looks terrible when unzipped.

The original played alot better. I'll update as soon I find the time. And for the seams you discovered, I know, but had to post it, finally got something movin'!!

Ahh!! I need to make moving stuff im working too slow! GOod job on yours! That model looks really good! How long you been working on this? On maya?

NoTalent 12-10-2003 06:55 PM

On this model I've been working for 6 months( of and one). With Maya I'm working now for 1,5 years or so.
The whole rigging and animating thing was (is) new to me. So a lot of trail and more error. But still hanging in there!

omg man..wow..damn you...damn youuuuu...tell me, how is the whole weight painting process? ive never done it before...is it as painful as setting up UVs?

NoTalent 13-10-2003 05:42 AM

It is like most things in Maya;it takes a lot of trail and error (and coffee, cigarettes). Just start messin' with it.
Or you could download the tutorials that Mike McKinley made( VIP area). That has set me of in the right direction.

orgeeizm 14-10-2003 09:55 PM

Ive skipped the whole nurbs section on the Maya 4.5 Savvy and now im doing joints and skeletons so i can do stuff like yours :) And coffee has been helping me out the past couple of days hehehe
