1938 Bugatti Type 57sc Atlantic
Yep! Another car!
This is a model I've been working on lately. I'm pretty much finished with the modeling, though there are a few things that need fixing, and a few things mising. I made a mistake and accidentally mirrored and combined the car, then made edits to one side and not the other.... So as you can guess, I need to rip it apart and re mirror it. Other than that theres a few other edits needed, and I also want to model the interior, Plus I will need to model the axles, as there clearly visible from the front of the car. Anyway, heres some clay renders: (as said, theres still some work to do.) http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...Render_1-1.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...Render_2-1.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...y_Render_5.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...y_Render_7.jpg And heres some Color Render tests. These are just paint shader, and render scene tests, so there will be allot of improvements made. (I know my chrome sucks!) http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...int_Test_6.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...int_Test_8.jpg Anyway, theres more work to be done. C&C more than welcome! Thanks! |
Looks nice.
I wouldnt say the chrome sucks really at this stage, basically theres not a great deal of an environment to reflect. Just go one step at a time, the final render is what counts really, not now... Jay |
Thanks!
I'm trying to get a head start on my rendering, as it's the toughest part of my projects (for me) that, and finishing them ;) |
That's a mighty fine model, dude.
|
Really good model man!
As was mentioned the renders are gonna look out of place till theres an environment for the car to sit it in which matches the reflective surface. Chris |
Thanks for the comments!
I will be doing some more work on it later today. |
nice nice mayanic, can we see some wires?

UPDATE:
Well I final have an update for everyone.... :attn: I've been extra busy lately with 3 different projects running at the same time  But I have some more work done. Still some work to do, but I think the exterior is done, and the Interior is getting there.... Still needs texturing. Anyway, heres some Renders: http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...i_Render_1.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...i_Render_2.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...i_Render_3.jpg Some quick previews of the interior: http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...r_Render_2.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...r_Render_1.jpg As I said still some work to do! C&C more than welcome! Thanks! P.S. Will post some wire later. |

Hey dude
I just have a quick question for ya...you renders in the pre fabrication stages of all your work are real good, you can really see the detail(im talking about the ones where the object is just a lambert shader or something 1 color) how do you set up your lights, i have also seen some really good ones that appear to be using virtual sun maybee??
thanks Brady |
