has a nurbs surface always got a seam ?

nurb surfaces will always have a seam, but it doesn't necessarily have to be visible.

That would depend on your surface´s parametrization, continuity and tangents .. those are the factors governing nurbs "seams". If you control them, you can make non-seam nurbs. (but it´s quite difficult as you would think)

This might help illustrate my point.
