Hey everyone! I just couldn't resist this comp. Such an awesome theme, so I am gonna give it a bash. I am going with the " Trick or Treat " theme.

I have attached a quick concept sketch of my idea...In a nutshell, a scene of the front door of a house...You know when you go trick or treating, you walk up the pathway to knock on the door not really knowing what or who is going to answer it..hehehe...anyway...I am going to try and have this ominious looking glow coming from the inside of the house that creeps out from the door that is slightly ajar....Ooooo....lol...

I am hoping that I can achieve the desired effect and hope that I can complete it in time. I will keep updating. :) :)

I like the look of it, looks a bit twisted :D

AlphaFlyte 08-10-2004 11:32 AM

Top notch. I love it.
Better than Tim Burton by far hehe.

Tim_LIVID 08-10-2004 11:54 AM

Tim Burton! I knew it reminded me of something

Hey Mainline
Hows it going dude? Looks like a great start already. I had a thought whilst looking at the render, have some real small kid or something scaring the crap out of some trick or treaters on the door step!! Just a loose thought mind.....

Oh and Murph....ya big baby!!! LOL

Swwweeet! I like the wacked out cartoon feel of the modeling! Keep it up!!

BillyZ 12-10-2004 03:28 PM

Just for my curiousity, how did you render that.. is that a basic maya software render or is that global illumination plugin? And if it is, which is it?

Thanks for your comments. :) Much appreciated. :)

Surfermcd...Thanx dude.

Murph...lol, just don't look at the pic before you go to bed....lol

Jango...Hey dude, Thanks for the comment, I am doing cool. Just working on some stuff for my portfolio at the moment. How are things going on your side? Thanks for the idea, I thinks it's a cool idea!! I might just use it and change it in a way, if thats cool with you? Like instead of having something scare the kids, it's the kid that is scared...ie, a kid at the steps looking at the house and wondering should she go in or not.....just a thought, will see what happens. :)

BillyZ... Hey BillyZ, it's rendered with Mental Ray. No global illumination enabled, just final gather. :)
