Question with SubD and Polygons
 

I'm not sure this is in the right section or not so please bear with me. I have a SubDiv model that I have been working on. I used the simple man Tutorial to create the body and then Modeled a basic head. (Nothing too complicated) Well I'd like to join the head to the body so should I convert the subdiv's to polygon's and then merge the polygons or can I merge them as SubDiv's?
