Edge Looping
 

This is giving me a headache, first off what is edge looping -- ie. tutorials or site or whatever -- +where in maya is it, ive been looking for ever and cannot find it, also i have maya 5 unlimited.
any info would be appreciated. thx

It's a modeling theory for organic characters to allow for realistic muscle control (i.e., you model a characters mesh similarly to how real muscles are set up). It's not a feature of maya. Give this a read:
