MEL Scripting for Maya Animators -- GET IT!!!

Just got my copy of Mark's book today. OMG, this rocks! I'm going to have to be careful that MEL doesn't take over my life. Nice job, Mark!

:D

I went to the book store, and saw that book... but then i felt really intimidated for some reason. What skill level is that book for?

mark_wilkins 25-01-2003 08:22 PM

Beginner to intermediate (with the caveat that it helps if you know how to work with Maya without scripting.) Don't be intimidated. There are parts that you may find a little challenging, but most of it is pretty accessible and it takes the time to *explain* stuff. The preface suggests where you might start depending on your skill level and your interests.

BTW, you saw it in a bookstore? Which one? I haven't been able to find one that carries it!

I saw (and bought it) in Borders - I was really impressed with their CG section in general - a lot of books that I didn't expect to be able to buy anywhere other than online....
