close up of the chairs
check out more 3d stuff at my website: 00patrick00.tk- go to the 3d section |
they look nice, but they have reall strange forms, the table, it can never be stable that way, but anyhows, i like them alot, GJ.

How is the lighting done in this scene? Looks like GI?
|
It is done in Maya 5 for Linux w/ Final Gather Rays set to 500 and the GI set to 64
(basically final gather preview but the FG rays halved) There are lamps in each corner emitting differnent color lspot lights and on the ceiling there are 2 hole extruded and deleted w/ a greyish white spotlight shining down. (Raytraced shadows enabled for the 2 top ones.) I'll post a pic soon of a different angle so you can see it all better. |
I love that bendy/twisty concept. Awesome.
|
It's got that Flinstones vibe happenin. I like it.
|
It has an interesting play-doh look to it. Pretty cool. :)
|
I was going to say what Mike said :)
But a little C+C... in the bottom image, the left chair appears to be floating... And the top image. What's that ray of light (??) going under the table to the left? But ... very nice :) Really creative idea! |

:) yeah i know the chair is floating... i fixed that yesterday- (those are old pics) basically this was a summer project and all of the other stuff ive done lately is going to be put into that room.
check out my site: 00patrick00.tk for some stuff i am going to put in it in the next week before school starts. The main thing i am going to do is have the attached character duplicated 3x 1. sitting 2. climbing the stairs. 3. Sitting on the stool looking at the computer w/ a cord (bioport) streaching from one of the center holes to the back of the computer. I am then going to do a flythough and call it 'still life' |
Nice :)
I see you're into the weird-shapes thing ;) Not only 3d :) Really nice and very unique... keep it up! |
I like it, nice strange shapes.

well- now all I have to do is hit render on the flythrough
here is a bad angle of the guy infront of the computer- btw its just the angle his shoulder blades arent that skewed. i'll try and post the finished animation in DIVX fomat sometime- hosted from my server. sorry if anyone tried to get onto my server last night- Michigan and the surrounding areas had a massive power failure. |
Ok, now thats just freaky......A bit more bend in the wires perhaps????
|
yeah from that angle it looks pretty bad......
but on the bright side- ive hit batch render on my slow 1ghz machine. frames 1-45 are up in the video section of my website. there are 160 frames total. all should be up by monday or tuesday. a divx 5 version by wednesday. www.00patrick00.tk please realize that the frames are 780*576 raw .iff files. |
