need help with creating water with soft bodies.
hi, firstly what i have done is this tutorial
http://www.3d-palace.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4107 it doesnt work for me :/ i have done everything it says and my soft bodies seem to just rise and rise and they never come down! i have done the solvers/set initial state for selected and this has made frame 1 my desired size i want for my ripples, now i just need them to go down again. Any ideas? Thanks, Matt |
by the way, he says a saw to fix it.. i just cant find what he is talking about...
"If your softbody seems to Blow Up when you hit play, try setting your playback method to play all frames in your settings. If it still blows up, try increasing your over sampling. If THAT doesn't work, lower your magnitude" my magnitude is 5 and my frequency is 20. |
i found both the above setting and neither did anything.

bizarre..... i downloaded the file from
http://renderfast.com/tutorials/water/# to check what settings he used in the original thing and everything is the same as mine. so i decided to try and make it within this scene, just next to his and see if mine works here... it id :S. so i thought that meant that something was wrong in my scene. so anyway i went back to my scene and made yet another with the same settings as before and it works :S wierd eh... to render you must go to edit > render editor > choose a codec > then sit back and watch
