The hair is only PS at this point. I am working on 3d hair.

I like it! Hows about a picture of you though... for comparison?

great piece of work!can you show a wire please.

Here are the wire frames.

Joopson 10-02-2006 02:38 AM

no the best wire, but the model looks good

lukedukeofpuke 10-02-2006 03:39 AM

What could I do to make this WF better? Is there something wrong with it?

SpaceGoat 10-02-2006 05:32 AM

i think the ears dont look right...bit too small. like the texturing, looks good!

Well, as I've learned, you have to model the mesh as much in quards as possible, because 1. the mesh will deform better, and 2. it'll give you less stretching of the texturs.

Also, the wire needs to flow according to the muscles in the face, so that you'll get alot better deformation when you animate it.

This illustration will hopefully make you understand what I mean (Think I got this from MattTheMan).

It's abit hard at first (atleast I think) , but it's really important if you wanna make it a solid model that is good for animation.

Looks good, reckon you should just go around cleaning up any traingles into quads, then into sub'd's for adding wrinkles/character, to finish off

As far as getting rid of my triangels I will agrea and try to work on that. As far as my edge looping, I think it is pretty solid. Here is a picture with the wireframe over my actual picture. Corect me if I am wrong but it all looks good to me. there is just a lot more geometry than your example. Please if you see somthing wrong tell me. I have put allot of work into making sure my edge looping was correct. I learned my edge looping from Jason Osipa's book Stop Staring. If you can point somthing out that is incorect please do I would rather know now than later. Thanks for the help!

Heres the pict. Wire frame over actual picture of me.

hmmm, didn't take a prober look at your wire, sry. just saw lots of triangels which made it look wrong. But when I take a closer look, I can se many of the right loops, just needs to get rid of some of the triangels.
forgot to mention I think it looks good. close to the real thing

lukedukeofpuke 10-02-2006 04:53 PM

Thanks! I will defantly try to work on those triangles.

gster123 10-02-2006 06:57 PM

Like I said looks good man!

Looks great, but the main loop that's screwed up has to be the one going from the nose-around the eye, to forehead, you have that one going from nose to back of head.
