Hey I'm new to SM

Hey guys I'm pretty new to SM, I need help making Maya animations that can be exported to After effects/Sony Vegas for my video editing, its basically a game (Counter-Strike) and this video will be a mixture of 3D animations and few visual effects. The thing is I need to head-start me off in order to be in the right track, and i found few videos to be downloaded and it says something about points? how do we earn points? Thank you.

Welcome to SM
you can acquire points by purchasing them here is a link for you to read http://srv01.simply3dworld.com/showt...threadid=10393

The best method for exporting your animations for use in AE and or Vegas would be to render out and Image Sequence that way you wont have any quality loss from converting it to media format.

welcome to SM!

what were you looking to animate?

a good start to doing it would be to draw up a story board then you can figure out what sort of things you'll need. when you say 'it's basically a game' what do you mean...? are you saying you want to film it in a game engine? or are you wanting to render off a whole lot of stuff to composite in after effects?

as for points, you get points by buying them as explained in the sticky thread above

Well, first of all what i'm trying to do exactly is a frag video of a game called Counter-Strike, in this video i will contain a 3D motion to the content so it looks like the 3D model is actually there. it will be some sort of animation that looks like this video on youtube.
