geometry not rendering with motion blur

Anyone have this problem? I'm rendering out some animation, but when I use motion blur, geometry, specifically the ground plane does not render when I use motion blur.

Any ideas? It's really weird that it would only the ground plane would be missing.

I'm using Maya 4.5
