about MR books

Driemeyer, T.
Rendering with mental ray®

Second, revised edition.2001

Can anyone told me if it,s a good book to begin and go further with MR

Its a very good book to go further.
But its a book dedicated to mental ray, host (says: Maya) specific iusses are not covered. Additionally you should have a rather solid background in rendering, as its written more like a reference, you won't find something like tutorials.

If you know what you want to know, then there is no better book available, a beginner would probably be overwhelmed.
