Basic snake!
 

hey all! i am wanting to animate a very very very simple looking snake along a motion path! does anyone have any ideas how this can be done easily. I was hoping to avoid rigging the snake and animating each bit!............its for an animatic so im not too botherd about it look good!

You coluld use maya hair for it.

look at this tutorial. there's a quick setup, but then the snake will follow your motion path pretty nicely... and it doesn't take too long to do, either.
