Fighter plane

This is my follow up to the spitfire tutorial. It is still missing a bit of modeling, like the little wings at the very front of the plane, but the basics are done. See if you can guess what this plane is, hehe.

Looks like a Eurofighter Typhoon to me. What is it, about 5 years late and still not in service?
Looking quite good, anyway. |

You got it. This is the 2 seater version. Here is another pic, just added a couple of things.

This is a test I am doing for the grill that goes right above the wing and under the cockpit. I am using a transparency map, a bump map, a color map, and a spec map. I'll do it this way instead of modeling it.

Look good so far, but you need to give the wing section more profile. The real wings on a plane arn't flat like that.

You are right BMS. I spent some time reshaping the body. I still have some more modeling to do (missiles, nicknacks, wheels, cockpit).

Wow! I like alot!
|
Looks Much better. Have you decided on the Texture yet?
|
I like the Panzer texture. If u change the colors at Photoshop or somethin' like that it'll look real kool.

Thanks for the comments.
BMS, I have lots of reference pics. I will start the uv mapping sometime early next week. I want to make sure I am totally happy with the model first. It seems that every time I look at the reference pics I find something new or different. Cheers |

Here is an update. All I am missing now is the landing gear. Then on to texturing.
