Tweetytunes - Pirates vs Ninjas - Summer Challenge

This sound cool, - very different but cool.

May go for robo pirate like in that disney movie no one liked

or

modern ninja somewhat like stormshaddow/snakeeyes from g.i.joe or those vampires in blade 2

the new idea will be more cartoon-ey than my usual work and really is a play on this challenge title.

My idea is to have a ninja getting ready to kill a software / movie / digital training (hehe) pirate. No one can say this idea is not original can they.

I`m really sorry for the bad camera phone picks but my scanner is still in work and I`m working from home with bad leg.

a different idea of the way ninja attacking - from above getting the sword ready.

Anyone got any ideas on how to make the guy look more like a software pirate, as this part is not coming to me yet ???

Cyborg ninja, cool idea. I was actually considering a cyborg ninja myself but decided to pursue some other ideas. Nice concept.

I like the idea about the computer pirate.
Maybe have boxes of unlabeled disks and a printer in the room to show it more?

I like computer pirate better also. Perhaps you can blend both Pirate and Ninja together? You could base your world inside the computer, like the movie Tron, and have his pirate suit glow.

on a roll today

Quick question I`m building these cloths around a old model but will be removing that model once I finished. no parts of that model will be used what so ever - its just a advanced reference file if you look at it that way.

(its how I know where the clothing parts are in the right place in the image).

Is that aloud within the rules. It seems like a blurry topic but want to be honest about it.

Will hold off on the character and might start on some other part of my idea.

gster123 24-06-2007 05:36 AM

Seems ok to me as its just a reference, bu then again I'm not the controler of the rules!

Glad youve dived in and made a start.

Looking like a decent start mate, looking forward to seeing it develop

Perfecto 24-06-2007 05:41 AM

I'm personally okay with it.
Nice to see some progress too.

tweetytunes 24-06-2007 06:26 AM

I only ask because I did some thing simulare with the Medusa project but with that one I planned on using some body parts like the hands ear and stuff (and in that case I started again).

But was unsure if it was that or the use of the model in the first place that was causing the issue.

I don`t see the point in modeling a model of a person I`m not going to use (as it will be completely covered in cloths) when I have a least 50 different character models sat on my hard drive. My work mate said it would be like making someone drawing out a character ref pic when they had a photo ref.
