Baking and reapplying lightmaps?
I posted this question on CGTalk, but I never got any reply, going to try to see if I can get better help here.
I'm modeling/texturing a level for a game in Maya, and would like to use lightmaps for it. Is there a way to have the lightmap reapplied into the scenes automatically, since they are all going back to the same place? I did manage to export a picture file of the entire level's lightmaps... Would it work with tiled textures as well? Alittle confused about this, and we would like to have a beta out by GDC (Game Developers Conference)... Not much time left... :confused: Thanks... |
