hey Vlad, thanks for the comments :)

Well finished textureing, i will move onto building an old sowing table now that it will sit on. Then a grandfathers clock to go on the wall.
p.s
None of the background will be there, or the table, its all temp stuff, just to get some nice reflections.

ahh think i know what you mean.. you mean the telephone cord. hehe, yea i used a script for it.

Started on a mouse. Got a bit more tweaking to do on it. And more detail in close and shoes and stuff.
Hes going to be yelling in one side of the phone, and another mouse listing on the other end :)

gster123 24-10-2005 06:20 PM

yep the chord man, nice!!

I really need to have a good go with MEL, are there any tutorials out there that ease you into it?

I've had previous programming with C++ which I hear's similar?

Nice work on the mouse to dude.

utpal 24-10-2005 06:43 PM

hey nick. nice work, as always. and you are fast.
yeah gster, if you know c++ it will be very easy for you. ones like me, who avoided programming like plague in college find it very difficult. :headbang:

antiant 24-10-2005 11:40 PM

Hi guys
Thanks for you comments.
Yea your lucky haveing some knowledge programming, mel well be so much easyier for you. Maybe try 3dbuzz, or even digital-tutors. Im not into mel much so i cant help you too much there.

Well heres a small update. Just a test render to see the position of the mouse. The other mouse will be standing on the handle.
I dirtyed up the phone a little too.
I might have to remodel the mouse again a fair bit. I stuffed up.
I exported him into zbrush and added some detail, then when i imported him back into maya, the geometry is too high to do the uv mapping. Dah.. everyone knows to do your mapping before you go high res :headbang:
Oh, well im going to give it a shot a uv mapping at this res. Besides the mapping wont have to be perfect because the mice are a fair distance from the camera.

cheers all.

Neat stuff indeed...

well i did the mapping, and think i got away with :)
I wouldnt recommend mapping a 25,000 poly model lol.
Its not perfect, but it will do for the distance

DJbLAZER 25-10-2005 02:24 AM

yeah, it looks good, but be sure to resise the uv's for the feet if you want the same resolution there as for the rest of the body has.
