I have collected various pics from the web and will start to sketch out an x-wing, to get things right from the start.

There are movie pics, authentic model pics, more or less decent blueprints and various other pictures of the x-wing on my hdd.

This will be more fun than working on the YT-1300, im sure of it, as it will probably contain half of the parts that made out my YT-1300 light tramp freighter.

I'll go and get started right away.

I found an awesome gif for show, but its too big; 600 Kb, so I'll post some other flashback.

The so-called blueprints I have arent up to it, and I have yet to figure out the geometry of the fuselage.

I got bored with this and started with some cannons.

Superdetailed and superbeveled.

The X-Wing is a hard one to model correcty. Great job on the cannons and the nose!

Thanks Luistlf!

The hard thing here I think is the fuselage. I have studied the pics that I have and there are some differences in the various source material that I have downloaded.

But I hope you can help me with this kit's drawings.
Model kits usually have perfect drawings although they may have simplified some parts or made them different.

If you still have the drawings from the X-wing kit, can you e-mail me them? That would be a great help!

Regarding details; I just... ghaaah... cannot help but copying thing. You would think it is a pluss, but sometimes it is a really drawback. I miss out on the flow of the modeling I fear.

luistlf 10-11-2002 12:48 AM

i will send you soon all my reference pics and some links that helped me.

undseth 10-11-2002 12:49 AM
