I'm not that familiar with London streets, but that brickwork pattern on the road seems a bit strange... is that how it was done in those days?

dae 13-07-2005 02:40 PM

Not to sure myself either, lucky for me the intersection isnt in view.

will do a bit of reasearch on that.

I was wondering about that myself... I looked up some intersections.. http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-17389.html

But i've also seen a straight road into a curve, and they just kind of use a straight line to intersect them.

That's a lot'a bricks.

joshlobo 13-07-2005 02:49 PM

hey dae,

i really like the lighting in your scene... especially the glow on the lights.

with the coblestone road... i take it that's the look you're goin for... its probably easier to do it with textures, and bump mapping rather than modelling.

just create one plane and image map it onto that.

easy peasy

dae 13-07-2005 02:58 PM

Thanks, I thought about that, I have even tought about normal mapping them, I just feel the light catches them better this way.

I will try another pattern the the bricks later on.
