Diningroom

Since I did an outside scene, I'm going to attempt to model a dining room scene. My main goal will be to learn some rendering skills. I'm trying to digest as much Maya rendering info that I can from the help files. Other than this one, most posts will be just wires.

This is just an initial lighting and material test (far from perfect but it will give me an idea how I want to set up the room).

I agree with you acid44, I'll tone it down when I texture the scene at the end.

NeoStrider: I did a google search for dining room tables and found a set that I like, for the most part mine looks identical (and I'm using their dimensions). I've modeled them a little different though, mainly to keep poly count from getting up too high. I could make them look much better but then my poly count would be too high for my computer in the end I think. (I havn't learned how to render in layers yet).

mastone: Thanks for the nice comment.
