Maya 7 PLE
 

Hey,
I have several books on learning Maya 7. Each book contains a dvd with files and Maya Ple. When I try and install this on mac ( and yes,it works for mac) I get asked to give a software key. To obtain this key, I have to register. But whenever I do this, I end up getting the page to download the trial of Maya 9.
Is there anyone who can help me with a software key or tell me how to find it.
It would be a real shame and a waste of money if I can never use my books again.

Sadly, the key is not available through normal means any longer. If you have registered for the key before however, it will still work.

Maya 7, and the other releases have not changed so much, besides the organization of the menus. You should still be able to go through the books with little, to no problems.

The books must be quite old Maya 7 PLE has not been available for over 2 yrs.

You can easy follow the tutorials in the book with the Maya 9 PLE, you just need to obtain a copy of the menu changes that happened at Maya 8. There was a pdf that was available for download from Autodesk... Ill see if I can find it...
