As a new user of maya ( I need your help)

I 've followed the procedure to create an image plane using a lambert material.

summary: On assigning my target image to my poly plane, I am unable to view the image- why........

:confused: Great start!!!!

press 6 on your keyboard

or

find "shading" tab on the upper left of the window. Look for hardware texturing near the bottom of the list and click it.


IMO 6 is just easier.

Many thanks for your assistance- that seems to have resolved the query.

I'm sure I will be calling on you help again in the near future.
