Creating a shelf icon image
 

Im using maya 2009 on a mac. I have a 32 x 32 pixel image in .bmp format. When I go to the shelf editor and load it, maya keeps telling me its an invalid file. Has anyone else been having this problem? I checked the maya help and it says .bmp, .xmp, and .dip are all valid formats. Does the image have to been in a certain directory?

try the different color setting 16bit/256/16... and it should work i have this problem few weeks ago and i fix it by that :beer:

thanks I will try that, I did finally get it to work by sending the files to a pc and converting the bmp files to xpm
