Particles are not showing in render!
That's my problem. I have Maya 6.5 Unlimited and I use (often) Maya Software render type but I just can't see my waterfall (particles). I'm not using IPR cuz I know I won't be able to see them there, I'm just using simple maya soft. render.
Can someone help me, please?;) |
I don't know very much about particles at all, but I think that to render them you use the Maya hardware renderer, instead of software. Just enable it, then pull up the hardware render buffer.
Hope this helps. LisaG ;) |
thnx, but can You explain a bit more what to do? Soft. rendering is selected in render Globals.

Select hardware render instead maya software, then render the work.

Check your particle render type in the attribute editor of your particle shape, that will tell you which renderer to use:)
|
you can only render particles with the letters S/W next to them
ex) cloud s/w, all others are hardware renders only |
Ok, here is the simple way of telling which way to render it.
1. Go to the "render globals", it looks like a directors que with two dots beside it. 2. First choose "Software render" (it should be near the top of the window in a dropbox) 3. Let it render and look for particles (if not there then go to step 4) 4. Choose "Hardware render" 5. Check for particles in render. 6. If it dosent work, then just say so, well help you out. Hope it all works out. |
