NEW ADOBE PHOTOSHOP OUT! plus more...

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html

The features that will speed-up my FX work most will be:

* Match Color command - AUTOMATIC COLOR GRADING!
Achieve a consistent look between package shots, fashion photos, and more by instantly matching the color scheme of one image to another.

* Replace Color Brush - Like the Healing brush, but with COLORS!
Easily change the color of any image area while retaining the original texture and shading.

i dont understand why they replaced the # with cs

adldesigner 29-09-2003 07:40 PM

Marketing dude. Marketing. :)

Maybe they look more trendy ..
Photoshop CS
Dreamweaver MX
...

Renderizer 29-09-2003 07:40 PM

CS stands for Creative Suite, as it is supposed to be sold in a complete bundle including:

- Photoshop
- Image Ready
- InDesign
- Illustrator
- GoLive

But it's also possible to purchase them as standalone versions or in custom bundles.

Photoshop CS looks promising, with enhanced 16-bit support, a further enhanced paint engine and better intercompatibilty between Adobe applications (like the ability to open Illustrator documents in Photoshop with editable text, layers and objects).

But what I like especially is the ability to nest layers! At last! Rocks!

Ah yes, lest I forget: you can now put text on a spline, too...

Thankfully it was not an X, and since they are kinda looking for packaging everything in one box, I suppose the Creative Suite "suited" their tastes well. :p

Here is a link to a first look review.

Cool read Renderizer!
Thanks for link. :)

I agree with adl's post about (MX, CS) hehe... gotta be something like that in there as well.

Also, Renderizer, I thought PS already had nesting layer support with the advent of layer-sets?

Or, were you referring to something else?

Ultragames 29-09-2003 11:02 PM

That´s how we are making a proyect I´m into now.

Ultragames 29-09-2003 11:11 PM

realy? Woah, didnt know that. I only have PS & IR 7 though. And i dont have the money for the new PS right now.

Renderizer 29-09-2003 11:16 PM

(Quote: ) As for the Layers palette itself, it too gains some modifications, including the ability to nest layer sets within layer sets , with support for nesting up to five layers deep. These nested layer sets will also be recognized in Illustrator CS.

To start with, this makes organizing your projets easier, as they become more transparent...

Gotta love it! :bgreen:

Ultragames 29-09-2003 11:20 PM

You can't already do that? Never tried. Although i LOVE the layer folders.

Edit: Images like the web site design im working on now, with about 100 layers would be insane with out foldering abilities. GO ADOBE, YOU ROCK.

Edit 2: Checkthis out. MAN, to think photoshop can do THAT when you know how.

Yeah. Money...! :banghead:

I want to buy a 2nd (refurbished) SGI monitor next month, and I also want to upgrade my CPUs to MP2600+...

Then there is Combustion 3 coming along...

I'm seriously considering to start a side-career (as if I had any career at all!) in order to earn some extra cash...and as I fail to pass as a dressman (shiver!), the only alternative that comes to mind would be to become a gunman... :2gunfire:

*goes off to think about some less dangerous options*
