Very nice! the caustic effect with the light is awseme...

Kurt 27-03-2003 01:41 PM

Great stuff. Only thing you might want to add a bit is a bit of darker tones that are behide the fish... That would pop out the fish a bit more.....

Awseme stuff mate=)

what i would suggest is play a bit with photoshop.. burn out the bright edges... looks good, but one prob is it looks like few fishes rendered in a green background... the caustics effect on the fishes are awesome... but play with it a bit in photoshop.. is this just me or is it my sleepy mood/?

MKess007 29-03-2003 02:28 AM

Is the caustic effect Fluids?

Stephen 30-03-2003 08:34 AM

no caustics!

The effect was created by simply putting a fractal on the spot light colour.
and that was it!
But I still cant get any good results with attempting to get some nice light rays coming through the water...

Basura3d 02-04-2003 11:35 AM

wow... thats great!

abie1 15-04-2003 05:11 PM

good job!!!

I know about a light ray tut on gnomon3d.com that has exactly what you need. Amazingly enough you create the light rays the same way you did the fractal except that you animate the rotation on the light. I hope it helps.
