My 6 Year old son's Maya Work
 

Hi Guys,

I thought I would share some of the work my 6 year old son has done over the course of 2005 till now. He started using Maya when he was 5 and he is 6 now.

I just showed him your posts and he loved it. His reply was "I'm not a master, I only know how to use polygons and I don't even know how to texture".

well tell him i am having a time with polygons and nurbs so he is light years ahead of me ..


now when are they going to make a maya for complete dummies ..they have all those dummy books and no maya grrrrrrrrrr

Thanks for the feedback guys, he is loving it.

What's interesting is how kids will give anything a go. I can't believe he can use the 3 button mouse and alt key at the same time, Shift and Ctrl select face and vertices etc

Hey thats really really good for a 5 year old and to be completley honest i wish i could do smething like that

Its pretty cool. My wife limits his time on it because at first it was almost impossible to get him off Maya. Now he is allow a couple of hours per week and he seems to have accepted that.

I've told him for his next project I will let him start a WIP thread on this board under my User Name ;)

He wants to make a Messerschmitt . . don't expect it to be scale :p

you know something you just gave me a great motivation my daughter has been asking me alot about my work wich is mostly design in illustrator and photoshop and she is doing quite well but i never thought a kid coul learn this (dont ask me why):angery: nut now that i see your kid doing this its time to spend some time with her in maya
