Well, seeing how I'm the one who did the VIP explosion tut, I'd hate to send you away to another site, so, in the meantime, I can write a text version of my video tutorial for you, (and everyone),
if you can give me a few bits of info before I do it:)

Question:

Are you doing a space (zero-g) type explosion, or are you doing an explosion of something closer to the surface of the earth, (or on it) ?

This is important because there are HUNDEREDS of ways you can do this type of effect, and I'd hate to give you a useless tutorial if you know what I mean:)

Also, I am in the process of doing part 2 of this series that will cover "Inter-earth" object explosions.
(basicly, explosions that are NOT in space)

Lemme know, and I'll add the tutorial to the "How I did It" area for you, and all, to see and learn from:)

Thanks!

Sorry, just need to clarify a bit,

Are you exploding the earth itself?

...or are you doing an explosion of something closer to the surface of the earth, (or on it) ?

Sorry, just wondering:)

Whoops, my bad, I just noticed you said that you are exploding something ON the earth:)

Cool... Give me an hour or so to write a tut for ya:)

Actually, to save you some time, there is already a tut online that explains this in detail for you:

http://cade.scope.edu/courseware/not...ena/index.html

On the left hand side navigation there is a link that says: "Explosion"

That's the one you want:)
