1st Model (Toyota Supra)

Ok, my favorite car is a toyota supra so I decided to model this car. Be on the lookout because pictures will be up very soon.

very nice choice, i look forward to seeing progress

although for a first model a car is too advanced, i would maybe do something really simple to start with.

Ok, dont mind the creases in the middle because the other side is only a duplicate instead of one object and dont mind the the edges that ARENT shape. Im still working on the front bumper so I dont wanna get into details until i figure out which bumper do I want to go with. The stock or this other bumper that looks lik the stock but its one piece instead of the lip piece. Ill work the the edges after and update. Hopefully monday, I should be finished with the bumper

ericmattison81 30-03-2006 01:35 AM

I havent finished the bumper but I started working on the rotors

Very nice progress on that rotor. Are you using nurbs or poly's.

BTW, you shouldn't attach pics that big, you are sucking up bandwith here. 640x480 is the reccomended size.

ericmattison81 30-03-2006 04:51 AM

sorry, I havent installed photoshop on my computer because this is a new one. I have cs but im waiting for cs2 this week. well this is poly thats why its rough but im working on a smoother version right now. post will be very soon

concorddawned 30-03-2006 07:43 AM

um or you could just render your images at 640x480 instead of posting huge ones or even edit ur current ones in paint.

ericmattison81 31-03-2006 02:54 AM

LOL I forgot you can do that. Lol Im so new to modeling that I forgot.

Ok, Im working on the suspenstion and I want to model the spring, but I dont know hwo I would do something like that> If anyone can help, PLEASE HELP ME lol. Thank you very much. Until then, I guess Ill find some new rims to work on because I dont like the ones I did that why I havent shown them yet.

Turbo Dan 02-04-2006 05:11 AM

you need to download a spiral script, search google for a spiral maya script or something

maya 7 has a spiral as a default object like sphere and torus are.

good luck

ericmattison81 02-04-2006 12:00 PM

Thanks very much, I appreciate it. I have one more question for you?? How do I instill a script once i download it.
