Starwars Ship question
Hello, major noob here
im trying to do the starwars ship tutorial, but i cannot get past the second session, when i extrude the wing and turn it from poly to sub-d some edges are not smooth, can someone help me with this? the geometry is just like in the tutorial but somewhere im doing something wrong ive tried to solve the problem myself and have looked in the forums but its no use.. to get an idea of what i mean here is a pic http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/4...prob7fi.th.jpg thanks |
i'm not sure but from the pic it looks like you kept the original geometry, so in effect you have a low poly and a sub-d model on top of each other.
In the options box for the convert to sub-d uncheck "Keep original". If this is not the problem maybe a larger pic would help to identify the problem. |
err larger pic?? click on the thumbnail for full size, i dont think i can go larger than that
and the "keep original" option is OFF so its not that here is another pic, click the thumbnail http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/3880/maya4ll.th.jpg maybe it could be my graphics card not showing it right or something? coz i see that all the geometry is perfect just like in the tutorial |
Have you pressed the "3" key, to show maximum detail?
