New Car
 

Im deciding on doing a new car. I have been away from modeling for a while because ive been having alot of personal issues. Im now ready to jump back in so I want ppls help on what car to do. Im going to do the rims and tires and hopefully a week later, I will start the car depending on the poll. Look at the pictures for which car im going to do

1. supra
2. eclipse ( i want to but im a bit rusty so im not sure)
3. evo
4. nissan 350z

Car number 1:Toyota Supra

Car number 2: Mitsubishi Eclipse

Car number 3: Mitsubishi Evo

Car number 4: Nissan 350z

They're all 'obvious choice' cars, but the least obvious to model would be the eclipse I think, which decides my vote. I'd prefer to see something a bit more different though. I'd say an Integra Type R would be an example of 'little less obvious' while still maintaining your theme. Although above all of these I'd prefer to see like a rusty old VW Camper or a Pimped Hummer :)

these are my choices because
1. supra's my dream car
2. i own an eclipse so id model it to resemble how I'm hooking mines up
3. since i own dsms (3 eclipses)and im a fan of turbo, i was going to get a evo so that my daughter has more room. she hates my eclipse lol
4. my best friend owns a 350z and wants me to do his car lo

lol thats why these are my choices lol but normally id do like a clk or a Mercedes but i guess modeling cars you know helps put more details and keeps you inspired.

Yeah, I was torn between the 350z and the Supra. I chose 350z because... ??? I like it???

what about a brand new eclipse?

naw no turbo lol im such a fan of the 2g. Plus, i know this eclipse in and out, owned one since 99 lol so if i do actually do the eclipse, im going ot do the whole thing including the engine. Im also going to put the 90 eclipse motor in it since i did that motor swap on mines. i guess i like this car cause i know it so much and its easy for me to get ref since i can just do downstairs lol and the new eclipse are pretty ugly. it looks like mitsubishi was confused when trying to decide if they wanted a 350z or a audio tt lol but without the turbo.

Ok I need help. When applying a bump map, it makes the bumps go outward but how do i get the bump map to go inwards. These are the rims im doing and if you see the words 5zigen, they are indented, not going outwards so how would i go about doing something like thAt

Instead of a + value use a - value for the bump (or invert the colours of your bump map using photoshop)

Ohhh ok thanks gster, ill give it a try when im finished with the tire. if worse comes to worse, ill model the logo lol
