HELP!!?? Setting up Orthographic image references?
Can someone PLEASE help!
how do you set up an orthographic image ref./ bring a drawing into Maya, so it can be used as a guide in modeling. would someone give me start to finish instructions? greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!! |
Go into the orthographic view you want the image to face towards, and in the viewport, go to:
View>Image plane> import image then select the file you wish to have as an image plane. Do the same for the other views you have. , -Andy |
Also, I don't know if others have this problem. But when I have tried setting up the references I would get weird camera issues where the camera would get stuck and I would have other weird anomalies.
So, to solve this, I read that it was best to create a duplicate set of cameras for all the original cameras. Then insert the reference images into the duplicate cameras, and then select those as your standard views for each different view. |
