.ma or .mb?
Hey guys,
When you save a scene in Maya it asks you if you want to save it as a .ma (Maya ascii file) or .mb (Maya binary file). Does anyone know the differences and which one I should save it as? |
i usually use MB, mainly because it is default.
MA can help when going from version to version. .MA is sort of like the .3ds format in 3dsmax. Programs like silo or modo can open them. So, overall, .MB is the best when staying in Maya, and only 1 version of Maya :-D:beer: |

Just had to add that .mb files are generally smaller than .ma so its good for your hard disk (they also load faster).
