Texture Stretching?
I'm trying to add a floor tile to a room I made in Maya 6.0 (Yes I'm using an old version). But the problem is on one side of the room it looks stretched.
I have provided a screenshot to show you what I mean.. http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/3082/stretch.th.png Uploaded with ImageShack.us |
Could you show a screen shot of your UVs...........dave

With the object selected go to Polygons, create uvs then press automatic mapping this should fix the stretching but might create seams...........dave

How did you apply the texture mate?? did you UV map first...or just apply an image to the selected face as a shader?

Looks like you started from a cube and did not layout the UV's. Follow Dave's instructions and select the object and then go to create UV's and select automatic. As he said that will correct the stretching although you may get seams.
You could also select create UVs > planar projection options and pick best plane. This should give you a seamless projection of the UVs for the floor plane. |
Thanks guys that fixed my problem.
