it does not matter what modeling or moving aproach you use. you have a lot of possibilies. you need to decide on your own which you are most comfortable in.

aha!

So but there must be a spec technique to modelling it intelligent.

to make flower realistic i need thin faces and i want to animate it flowing like when it blast a wind on it?

BabyDuck 27-05-2003 05:46 PM

what about making it a soft body, paint the weights realistically as a flower would be and apply wind to it?

Maybe this thread could help you out a bit.

soft body...

ahm i want to use the procedural shader Ramp called with him i reached mutch cool and fast results...

a body you mean the flower body?

but thats my problem...

should i make it with a cv curve tool and extrude the polys or make spquere nurbs and press it down, and shape it like a flowers tree?

... :p i hope u are patiente :D

I got your PM, and I'm sorry to say that I'm not the Modeling moderator, so I would be of no help:(

Sorry, but I suck at modeling organic things like that:)

Babyduck and ADL have given you great tips to start from, so read and do what they have suggested.

I'm not a good modeller, but in this case, I would use the cv curve tool to make some petals, PLANAR UV map the flower colors to it, turn it into a soft-body, paint some goal weights on it and attach a field or two to the softy, and play around with the field(s) to get some great movement:)

Good luck!

well, i would say something, but Ad and rage have said just about eveything i could think of. Good luck,
Brian

its not the best i know but its first time i made with nurbs a object

i was beginning with nurbs spuere // row and cols 12

than i made it with normal scale smaller so that i could se in the middle a line (row)

so than i switched to HULL (right mouse klick) ..very nice control tool WOW!

than i made it bit more...

i tested with a ramop shader because its making so cool effects and nice pseudo transparent effects... so easy to handle this rampSahder...

chanche to vertex and made smaller corrections so that is happent now...

the second flower is not specially its just a duplicate of one leave, there i wanted to show how ranpshader looks...
