Vertex coloring and lightmaps
 

Hy everyone, i have been given a project to do for a game and i need to create lightmaps, and to do vertex coloring. I think i know how to make lightmaps but i dont really know anything about vertex coloring.I think the way to paint the vertex is by using in the Polygon section, Color>Paint Vertex Color tool , but i dont understant exactly what this is used for and how to store the color of the vertex. Can someone help me with this?
