That "killer" thickness
 

I remember a while back when the robot competition was on that Izzy was asking some dude how they got that "killer" metal thickness on the robot. Could that person please tell me how to do that "killer" thickness.


I need it for my graphics assignment.

I'd imagine simply extruding the edges or faces would get it.

And if you use Subd's, just grab an edge, and do the same, but after you extrude the edge, run a Partial Crease on the edge as well.
