Think theres an attribue for the fur to follow the guides more, it could be in the clump attribute or follow (cant remember off the top of my head.

What I suggest you do is up the display quality in the viewport so that you see more of the fur, them play with the attributes to see how it looks (slower to update, depending on your system, but saves rendering) as there is one that makes it follow the guides more.

Hello Phrosting,

I had a bit of a play around with fur (anything to distract me from what I'm meant to be doing!!) and came up with the attached image.

1: paint the polar attribute so that the fur above the bare patch points upwards.

2: comb the fur direction upwards above the bare patch.

3: paint the inclination above the bare patch as needed.

My effort's not brilliant but I didn't spend very long on it, a little patience and care should get the results you're after.

Steve's right about bumping up the display quality if your machine can handle it.

Good luck,

Mat

hey thanks for the help guys, especially u happy mat

i've chosen to change the design to a more simpler approach and its turning out quite well anyway, i've just not the time to make my animation look exactly as i want unfortunately cos of deadlines.

Thanks again and sorry for late reply :( :)
