Help on Projection mapping instanced particles

Help guys,

I've created instanced coins that spray out.
I used projection mapping to add the texture and parented it to the cylinder coin shape.

however when particles render the image map moves. How on earth can I get the map to stay in the same position.

thanks in advance

DO you have to use projection mapping?

Why not just use normal UV mapping to assign the textures to the coins?

Hope this helps, post again if it doesnt

Although I have no idea what projection mapping was, I too thought it was odd that you used it instead of simply assigning a texture file to it when I first read this. It seems odd that you would have to parent the texture to the object, too, although that might be a part of projection mapping. (I don't know) Take Pure_Morning's advice and see what happens.

thanks guys

I used projection mapping so that I could get the exact alignment.

I managed to get sorted by making a texture reference of the map. Then instancing the referenced object

Worked a treat.

but thanks for the suggestion, I'll use UV mapping next time.

;)
