my green monster head

not a project - just having a bit of fun - work is modeling objects all day at the moment in nurbs acording to a plan and this is just something I did for the hell of it. I don't think it will go any further than this - just don't have the time. Anyway - thought I'd post his pretty face anyway just for fun. I tried doing some sculpting of a nurbs surface with artisan for a while and then converted to polys. Somehow I left history off and can't find any smoothing groups in the hypergraph so I'm not able to go back to an earlier unsmoothed version. Dumb. Just threw a skin shader on, made it green and put a leather bump on it. That's it. C & C as always appreciated but must say this isn't likely to be developed any further. He'd have been right at home in the hell contest eh? (canadian speak) ;) eh M? How bout those sad canucks. Damn shame. 7 - 2.

wow, man...that's awsome! :)
how did you did the skin? |
Hey el_newty - thanks!
the skin shader is downloaded from highend3d i believe and just serves as the basis for skin - I changed the color to green and added a 'leather' bump map - one of the standard choices in maya very simple - I just wanted to get some sort of texture on. I like it a lot tho and if I were to work further with this character I think I would take this texture and doctor it in photoshop. hm... maybe i can find time to do that. |
Hey ereitz, i really like this head and it would of definately fit right at home with the Hell challenge :).. and yea, that is a nice shader :D. About the canucks.... holy.....crap, that was a horrible game :(, oh well.. they are still up 3 to 2 :), one more win and they got it!

thanks M
yeah, i don't know if the canucks deserve to win the way they've been playing. and the wild are so boring. i watched dallas and annaheim for a good game - too bad about dallas |
