Fog Lights Revisited

1 Attachment(s)
OK, so a few days ago I sought help amking a fog light. I ended up with some good results except that I only was looking at the light from the side. When I just took a look at the light from an angle, it looks very bad.

Here it is. I've made 2 different kinds of fog lights.

1.) One uses Decay rate and it looks great from all angles, but no matter how large I scale it, no matter how far out I set the Decay Regions, the fog light remains very very small.

2.) The other does not use Decay Rate, but uses an Intensity curve. It will scale to any size, and looks great from the side. However, from any other angle it looks pretty darned bad.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

What's the intensity level of both lights? What are your lightfog settings?

Decay Light
Intensity: 1
Decay Rate: Cubic
Fog Spread: 0.5
Fog Intensity: 5
Density 1

Intensity Curve Light
Intensity: 3
Decay Rate: None
Fog Spread: 0.5
Fog Intensity: 5
Density 3

Changing the Intenisty curve's setting to 1 may keep it from getting blown out, but you still see the edges of the cone, and you start to lose it in the side view.
