melting goo tutorial?
 

Hello everyone - I just signed up here, and the site looks great!
I was hoping that I might be able to save some time plowing through tutorial after tutorial if someone could point me towards one that might apply here: I'm trying to create a semi-transparent material, with an animated texture, on an animated gooey blob-like creature. I know, that's a tall order.
I'm sure there are a lot of ways to go here. I'd say my Maya skill level is average - but I'm just getting back into it (I got a job!), so I'm a little rusty...
Suggestions?
