Exporting Maya to 3DS Max
 
Hi
Can anyone tell me how to export models from Maya to 3DS Max this has been buggin me for a few days now.

You have a couple of options:

1. Purchase Deep Exploration from Right Hemisphere and use that to do the data conversion.

or

2. Download the free FBX Plugin (http://www.kaydara.com) and use that as the intermediate format to go between Maya and 3ds Max.

I think the fbx plugin works both ways. You need both the Maya and 3ds Max fbx pligins installed.

Both the FBX file format and Deep Exploration work both ways.

I have found that the fbx plugin does work both way but I still dont know how to use either of the programs!!! Any help?

Only kidding. I've found all the tutorials i need on the net. Most of them here.

But I still suck at modeling!:mad:

Polytrans is what you need. I use this to do any conversion to any App
