Cartoon Dog
 

Well, I downloaded cartoon dog tutorial.

I folowed the instructions.

I added NURBS primitives, plane (but my square isn't dark as in tutorial).

And when I try to add the dog and see it (but I did everything
that the guy from tutorial said) I can't see it.

I don't know what to do.

Can anyone help me? :confused:

what you mean you cant see it. the dog picture.. you have to press 6. if you square isnt dark then your not in shaded view. you need to press 5.
are you using mac or windows? maybe the buttons are different in each platforms.

Second - I use Windows.
Third - Well...I have one more question:
When I press 5, yeah, my square becomes dark, but then I see all those words (Maya, Alias...).
So, can someone help meabout this, I can't solve this problem.

Almost forgot.

I do everything in hypershade, made new lambert, made a dog image...
And when I try to drag the dog from that..."ball", like the guy from the tutorial I can't see the dog. I pressed 6 but nothing hapens.

did you middle mouse drag it onto the plane

It works with middleclick! :attn:

All this time I tryed with left click.

Youve got the PLE Version of maya from Alias's website and in a work you cant get rid of the Watermark as its part of the licence agreement for the .

I used it for ages prior to getting my student licence and trust me you eventually get used to it and eventually almose see straight past it!

hi another new user hear trying to load dog in to maya. Do not have a left right or middle click mousse what is the key board key please!?

I dont think there is a key, you really need to get a three button mouse

may be I will go shopping tomorrow for one, three button mouse that is!

Probably best off to do that, there really cheap so its not gonna cost you that much!

solved it got three button mouse on graphics tablet! will try that!
