been thinking about doing an animation for a while so i came up with some sketches and did my story board
so i started modelling the main character last night havent gotten that far yet just modelled the head and his head gear

so do i need to make any changes to the face i tried as much as possible and to avoid any triangles but couldnt escape getting poles. the face will have minimal animations other than a few expressions

where are your references? i think the bottom lip looks a bit odd.

cool - i like this a lot! it does look like the modeling could do with a bit of a clean up - around the lips like hammer said and the eyes / forehead? i like the way you stylize the features though - and the helmet is looking cool. :)

got a tut explaining topology and facial animation so i had to remodel the head to make it more animation "friendly" so here it is

havent had much time to do this my kid got hit by malaria so been at the hospital all week so ill have to work twice as fast to finish this in my set time frame..
started blocking in the body and the chest armour by monday i should have completed his basic form and armour

arran 20-03-2009 10:30 PM

sorry to hear about your kid - not good.

the body looks like it needs a bit of work - the arms look too thin for a start. i'm not sure about the armor - it also seems thin and a bit shapeless... i think it would be good to see the body on it's own - if you haven't got that right then the armor will not look good.

she's fine now
was just going to add cloth underneath the armour i think it will make it appear thicker
